After a long winter our skin tends to be rather dry and dehydrated, this is due to the chilly outside and indoor heating. The extreme's zap your skin of it's natural moisture, often leaving a dull complexion. I often get asked "what can I do to brighten my skin?" Through giving Facials to countless women around the world, I've spent years researching various ways to create glow-restoring results...
GENTLE EXFOLIATION
I believe gentle exfoliation is just as crucial as moisturizing. One of the factors greatly affecting our skin is cellular turnover, which naturally slows down around 24/25 years of age. Children generally have soft and supple skin, and the reason is due to their high cell turnover rate. One of my favourite products is the Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant £35, which I use every other day with my cleanser. The blend of chickpea flour, thermal mud and strawberry extract loosens and removes dirt, excess oil and makeup from pores. The result is super-cleansed, gently exfoliated skin.
To use: After applying a Cleanser to your skin, add a 10p amount of Dermafoliant powder to you hands and gently work up the sides of the neck, across the jaw-line, soft pressure on the cheek's and forehead - not forgetting eyebrows and side's of nose. Exfoliation increases your skin's healing ability and triggers faster cell rejuvenation, promoting a fresh complexion.
ANTIOXIDANT SERUM
Organic serum's are supercharged formula's made with smaller particles, designed to penetrate the dermis (second layer of the skin) effecting repair and hydration. The best serums I've found are by Eminence Organics, as they have a liposome base giving the deepest possible penetration of concentrated ingredients to create a dewy appearance.
One of my favourite's is STRAWBERRY RHUBARB HYARULONIC SERUM £29 (also madonna's favourite serum!)
This serum is packed with antioxidants boosters - vitamins A, Ester C, E, Coenzyme Q10 and the famous Hyaluronic Acid (marshmallow plant extract) which is a deeply hydrating substance that smooths and plumps skin, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. . Apply your serum twice a day under your moisturiser for optimal results.
Matches Fashion and Coutts bank teamed up last week for an exciting event at the Roundhouse in Camden. The idea behind the evening was to show the employees and clients of worldwide bank Coutts the latest clothing and fashion trends for the upcoming seasons.
We were backstage at hand to prep the male and female models for the fashion show. Our brief was classy, young, fresh makeup. For the girls we kept it simple with a nice natural coverage on the skin, skin shimmer to give it a dewy look and for each outfit we went with a slightly different eye makeup look. Varying from a smokey eye, to a nude eye with bright lip. There was a great vibe backstage, and a very quick turnover of outfits.
The show went amazingly, here are some pictures of what we go up to...

Start with your eyes and then work on your skin after. This way you can really blend and work on the eyes without worrying about foundation getting ruined!
Start by taking a deep brown eye shadow (Chantecaille 'Jasper') over the whole lid, blend it into the crease of your eye. You can do this while your eye is open so you can see how high to take it. Once the brown is blended take a black eye shadow, blend softly into the crease and the outer corners of your eye. Follow your eye shape, don't go too high if the space between your lashes and brow isn't that big. Next take the Eyeko black liquid eyeliner. The point on this is very slim really helping achieve a perfect line on the top lid that lasts all day/night. Extend the line to a small flick for an added statement. Next using the brown shadow you began with, smudge under the lower lash to add more emphasis under the eyes. Next take a light gold shimmer colour (Chantecaille 'Shell') into the inner eye, into the corner and apply under the brow bone. Finish with a good mascara to complete the look or even a set of false lashes - Ardell do great black natural lashes. Not forgetting the brows to complete the look, use a brow pencil or Becca brow powder to fill in any gaps and define your brow shape. Better still com in and see Rekha Joshi, our threading brow expert for a shape & tint!!
Top Tip: Invest in some good eyeshadow brushes!
Have fun trying your smokey eye :)

Well it only seemed fitting to dedicate this months 'get the look' to the incredibly beautiful women we had competing for our country. Jessica Ennis, Victoria Pendleton, Gemma Gibbons to name a few. What a fantastic couple of weeks it was and even with all the stress and pressure these women were under they always seemed to look incredibly fresh and glowing in all the interviews and TV appearances.
To get this look, it is essential that you keep up a strong, well balanced diet, and exercise!! By doing so your skin benefits and feeds from the good endorphins which results in a sensational RADIANCE!!!
This month we are focussing on those that tend not to wear a lot of makeup but want to make an impact when doing so, without it being obvious. Start with a nice daily moisturiser to suit your skin type. REN do great ones for specific needs (dryer skins, combination, blemish prone etc, something for everyone). Once moisturised apply your foundation, keeping it light but a good enough coverage to even out the skin tone. Chantecaille FUTURE SKIN is packed with natural ingredients including soothing rose water, really helping that dewy finish and securing the foundation throughout the day. Remember when using a foundation brush you get a lot more of an even finish. If there are areas that need more attention, perhaps under the eyes, use a little concealer and blend in with the foundation keeping it natural looking. Next up, a cream blusher. We want this look to feel summery and fresh so it is unnecessary for powder until right at the end, even then just a light dusting over the face. Becca LIP AND CHEEK CREME's are your perfect handbag essential when on the move and keep the skin looking bright and restored :)
Moving onto the eyes; for this look we want really subtle colours on the lid of the eye. BECCA do lovely cream eye colours that sit nicely and not too strong. My fave is the ROSE GOLD (just the name says it all!!). Light shimmery colour over the lid of the eye. Then grab an eyeliner - opt for black, brown, gunmetal or navy and choose something that blends well. Apply a thin line on the top lash line and smudge it a little. Depending on how heavy you want the look you can take the pencil into the lower inner lid as well for a stronger look depending on your eye shape. Follow with a nice strong mascara to accentuate the lashes. CHANTECAILLE faux cils is amazing, really gives that false lash effect without the lashes looking clumped together or EYEKO fat brush mascara works well as a more affordable alternative.
Finally dust the skin with some translucent loose powder to set the makeup but not so much that you matte down the look. Apply a slightly tinted lip gloss, CHANTECAILLE Folly and Mirth both have a hint of coral just lifting the lips without it being obvious you are wearing a lip colour.
Give it a go! And CONGRATULATIONS TEAM GB!!!

This month we have dedicated our Get the Look to the timeless beauty that is Dame Helen Mirren. Taking a look at her fabulous make-up techniques and what helps create that youthful radiant glow... There aren't many women in their 60's that are such iconic, style setters!
The most important and obvious part to Helen's regime is that she really looks after her skin. Regular facials are so important. The weather makes a huge difference to your skin condition - We recommend having a facial once every other month or at least with every season change. Your skin needs attention and care. A deep cleanse, exfoliation, extraction and massage will prep your skin perfectly. We would also suggest trying a specialist, bespoke facial at least twice a year. We have the fantastic A-list facialist, NICHOLA JOSS, in store once a month, her unique technique has proven to be extremely popular and gives amazing results. It is a MUST try!!
Before applying any make-up, using a primer is important. As you get older your skin looses elasticity, so we recommend using a product like the BECCA REJUVINATING PRIMER before applying your base. This firms and smoothes out the skin and gives the base something to bond with, making it last much longer. Follow the primer with a light coverage foundation or tinted moisturiser. Avoid anything too heavy, the idea is to even out the skin tone but keep the skin looking dewy. If necessary follow with a concealer under the eyes and on any sunspots or imperfections to achieve a flawless complexion.
Your skin tends to get dryer as you get older so you want to create radiance. Using cream based products help to achieve this. Skin illuminators are great, applied all over the face or just on the cheeks, followed by blusher. We love the BECCA CREAM BLUSHER (can also be used on the lips). To recreate Helen's look, opt for Tuberose or Hyacinth.
For someone with Helen's colouring of blonde hair and fair eyebrows, it's a great idea to get brows tinted for added definition. Or simply use a brow pencil/powder. Taking light feathery strokes through the brows, creating a soft, defined brow shape. The perfect brow shape is vital to your finished make-up look, so have your brows threaded by an expert.
To recreate Helen's dazzling eyes, you'll need a Kohl pencil & shimmer for the inner rim and the eyelid. Use the BECCA LINE & ILLUMINATE PENCIL in IBIZA. One end has a bronze cream shimmer and the other end a black Kohl. You can use the black in the inner rim of the eye and the upper rim also. This makes a massive difference, giving beautifully intense, defined eyes. Use a fine liquid eyeliner on the upper lash line and lots of mascara to finish off.
Finally, a dewy lip colour, or a matte lipstick with a gloss on top. It is important to use a lip brush when applying matte lipsticks - this ensures the colour lasts longer so when you are out just top it off with a clear gloss! CHANTECAILLE have some wonderful matte colours, AURORA or ROSEHIP are very similar to the one in the picture. Plus they have a very moisturising textures leaving the lips fully refreshed and plump.
Helen we salute your timeless, natural beauty!
29th April 2012
If there was one event we all wanted to be at in the middle of April it had to be COACHELLA!! The hype is still buzzing and the stories keep coming! It's got us all very excited about the forthcoming UK festival season (hoping the weather picks up for them…… :-/) So this month we want to dedicate our "get the look" to one of the fabulous artists that attended the very stylish Coachella festival.
Looking at the pictures, it was Rihanna that really stole the show for us – as ever! She achieved the perfect festival look; Fresh faced, flawless skin and an amazing red lip, which added attitude and sex appeal to her super cool & casual look throughout the weekend.
Rihanna's hair and nails are ever changing – but the makeup generally remains pretty classic. With the run up to summer we need our skins looking fresh, dewy and plump. One of our newer brands, OSKIA – (a luxury nutritional range that has 98% natural ingredients, 100% active.) Contains a pure MSM ingredient that creates a healthier, smoother and younger-looking complexion. Check out their GET UP AND GLOW serum – which I can't get enough of!! A great make-up base that helps brighten the skin leaving a natural shimmer, packed with ingredients that brighten, plump and evens out the skin tone.
Follow on with your base, for medium coverage, use a foundation stick – BECCA do a lovely one, lightly applied and blended to any areas that need concealing/covering. Your base should now be even and still very fresh looking. To help brighten and open up your eyes CHANTECAILLE bio lift concealer contains an eye serum that will give flawless coverage to dark circles.
Rihanna always has a beautiful, bronzed look and great cheekbone definition. The best way to get this is with a non-shimmer bronzer. Try CHANTECAILLE in Tahiti or Capri. Dust over the face on the areas the sun would hit you (forehead, nose, cheeks and chin), and then shade just under the cheekbone lifting the cheeks and giving the face a great shape. Then apply a fresh, bright blush colour as Rihanna does. I would recommend a powder blusher in a fruity shade such as tangerine or peach to keep it lasting throughout the day.
The face should now be perfect. Moving onto the eyes Rihanna rarely has a strong eye but always creates amazing definition. I would recommend a nude shade all over the lid of the eye. Then take a matte, slightly deeper colour –work into the crease of your eye. Even though these colours are neutral they will define the eye shape and make the eyes pop naturally I would recommend colours like CHANTECAILLE Sesame, Ginger, Patchouli and Smokey Topaz. Finishing off with a perfect black eye liner on the top lip. Eyeko skinny eyeliner and skinny mascara are the perfect combination to finish those natural, strong eyes.
Never forget the eyebrows, they should have great definition –to achieve the perfect shape come and visit REKHA JOSHI our threading EXPERT!! Fill in any gaps with a brow powder using an angled brush keep them in place with Becca's brow defining gel.
Finally timeless red lips! CHANTECAILLE do the most beautiful shade called Cerise that practically suits everyone! A deep shade of red with a bright undertone. Or the BECCA Tatianna is another perfect matte red. If you aren't ready for a strong matte red lip then try the Charisma lip gloss by Chantecaille which is an easy to wear glossy red.
Enjoy!
29th March 2012
A day doesn't pass without reading, seeing and admiring the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate's classic but ever so chic style catches the attention of us all Worldwide on a daily basis. With the Diamond Jubilee on our doorstep we wanted to dedicate this months Get the Look to Kate…
So to achieve the clean, classic beauty style that Kate always goes for simply follow our guide. To begin, it is very clear that Kate has a wonderful skincare regime because her skin always glows and there is never a harsh overly made up look about her. So never forget that skincare is the start to achieving the perfect look. Makeup needs a clean canvas to give it the full potential it can give.
REN have just released a fantastic night serum, Bio Retinoid Anti-Aging Concentrate. Just a few drops of this sinks deep into the skin overnight, leaving you to wake up with a brighter, healthier complexion. Remember to give your skin a weekly gentle exfoliation – especially during these summer months ahead. Clearing the skin and removing any dead skin cells which again boosts the overall texture of your skin leaving it clearer, fresher and smoother. Try the Caudalie NEW Deep Cleansing Exfoliator once or twice a week.
When your skin is in great condition why put a heavy foundation on? Keep it light and natural as Kate does. Becca's Luminous Skin Colour base is simply what it says – gives your skin a magical luminous finish. Apply Becca's beach tint to the cheekbones giving a light yet natural glow to the cheeks. Beach tints are great as they have no shimmer but cream based so leave a glow without it being too obvious – I think I classic product Kate must be using.
It is all about the eyes with Kate, and she loves eyeliner! Highlight those beautiful eye shapes with strong dark eyeliner. Eyeko do fantastic skinny pencils leaving the eyes with precise definition lasting all day long. Black might no suit all, so using a softer colour brown, navy or even gray can soften the eye and shape it just as much as the black does. Remember to line the inside of the eye, the tear line as this is wear you can create the perfect shape around your eye. I think the eyeliner really pops Kate's eyes for the perfect photo. Becca do a cake liner which can be used on the top of the eye by the lash line. Just add a little water, use a eyeliner brush where you have full control and do a sharp line across the lashes.
Now the eyes are lined there is a little depth needed on the lids to finish the look off. Take a deeper colour, brown or beige onto the lid and blend it gently into the crease of the eye.
Finishing off, Kate never has a distinct colour on the lips, keeping her eyes the main focus. So simply a moisturising lip balm like the Smiths Rose bud pots. Great to carry around and smell so good!
27th February 2012
We have been glued to the images and red carpet re-runs for the Oscars 2012, the most glamourous event of the year! One look that particularly caught our eyes was Gwyneth Paltrow. Wearing a chic Tom Ford dress, tailored with a floor length cape over the top, simply stunning.
We loved her simple and understated make-up.To create the look...
Firstly, we recommend a Xen Spray Tan whenever wearing white or nude colours. The tan is super natural and works with your natural pigment, giving you the perfect golden sun kissed look. Do this the day before your big night out.
Paltrow's skin is dewy but not shiny. To achieve this look, firstly make sure your skin is in tip top condition. Get regular facials then keep it going at home with a religious skin care routine. Use a radiant foundation, our favourite is Chantecaille Future Skin. Follow this with the fantastic Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal, a liquid highlighter that you can mix with foundation to create the perfect glow to the skin. Once applied you want to keep that dewy finish by using a cream blusher - Becca creme blush in Tuberose works beautifully as it has a coral/pinky tone to give that real spring, girly feel. Dust a light loose powder on top to set the skin and move onto the eyes.
Apply a base to the eye lid - a light, shimmering eye shadow like the Chantecaille Shell or Pearl. Then blend a very light bronze colour into the crease of the eye to create depth but not making the look too heavy or dramatic. Finshing the eyes with a fine black eyeliner, Eyeko do a fantastic liquid pen (so easy to use!) in black. Lastly, coat the lashes with Chantecaille Faux Cils mascara giving the eyes a natural false lash look without the need for glue!
Finish the Paltrow look with a very natural lipstick - something that enhances your natural lip colour like Becca's Laelia, topped off with a beautiful neutral coloured gloss like Chantecaille's Elation which has a hint of pink.
Gently dust the skin with a non-shimmer bronzer, we adore Chantecaille's Capri, to give the final bronzed glow and to add a little more powder to make sure the look is even longer lasting.
Hi all! Hope you're all well and fighting the winter chills!
I can't quite believe we're half way through February already and only a few days away from the Autumn/Winter 2012 Ready-to-Wear shows. Stay tuned in to Mulberry's website for some exciting news which will be released this Sunday at their show! ;-)
Well all 7 weeks of this new year 2012 have been pretty full on for me! As many of you know I have been working with the amazing Lana del Rey, styling her hair for numerous editorial's including New York Times – T magazine and TV performances.
Ever since I started doing Lana's hair, it has been such an incredible journey…
Her vision and direction is inspiring, not to mention her unique look which has attracted numerous fashion magazines... Just before Christmas we shot this amazing 'Priscilla Presley' inspired story with photographers Sean+Seng and stylist Jodie Barnes. Both are still out so take a look at the full story.
Also out now, in V magazine, is another beautiful story shot by Karim Sadli and styled by Jay Massacret. Lana, as most of us girls, loves dressing up and when she gets in front of the camera she truly is a natural!
We also shot this with the legendary Jean Baptiste Mondino for French magazine Next, he shot Madonna's iconic 'Justify My Love' video..need I say anymore!
Working with Lana has been a dream-come-true for me...for so long I had wanted to work with an artist that had great vision, talent and love for life. Shooting her current single, Born To Die, in the breathtaking Fontainebleau Chateau in Versailles with director Yoann Lemoin, was an experience that will live long in my mind as one of the best jobs I have ever had. Her album is a masterpiece, within a week of being released, it got to #1 in 11 countries, so please, Listen to it if you haven't done so already!
For those of you that come in to get their hair cut by me , I will shortly be adding more dates in the diary so either keep a look out for them on here or give the shop a call in the next couple of weeks.
Have a good fashion week everyone and look forward to posting a rundown of the seasons key looks in a month or so.
xx
Jenni Draper is the brand ambassador and spokesperson for Mavala UK
This years red carpet events have seen some more adventurous nails being paraded alongside the more sedate and ever popular nudes.
Adele's almond shaped, loboutin nails stole the show at the Grammy's, the silver sparkly nails with the underneath painted red emulate the designers shoes perfectly. This can be easily recreated using Diamond Dust over New York Grey with a London red on the underside, works best on long nails! Katy Perry's nails were out of character for her, shorter, square and with an Azure blue 'French' manicure, Mavala's Cyclades on the tip with Natural over the top would be perfect for this look. Or if you have a spare $5000 you could have Rihanna's manicure, the polish contained 24k gold leaf! If you have less to spend on your nail grooming then try Mavala's Lame Gold with Sparkling Gold as a topcoat, both for under £10!
The BAFTA's were rocking the nudes, with the likes of Holliday Grainger, Jessica Chastain, Meryl Streep, Christina Ricci, Penelope Cruz and Christina Hendricks all opting for the barely there manicure, Vanilla is great for a clean and tidy finish. We saw a bit of colour from Harry Potter's Bonnie Wright with an Orange shade similar to Waikiki Orange.
Many of the stars went for the darks with Black being seen on Melissa George and Navy on Jennifer Lawrence at the BAFTA's. A slight twist on the black was the addition of a matt top coat to give a velvety finish on Hillary Scott at the Grammy's. Try Mavala's Matt top coat to get the same look.
Ask Jenni for one of these Mavala shades with your next manicure.
Conceptual artist Pandemonia selected Lost in Beauty as the location to film part of her video diary for Italian Vogue, we can't wait to see the finished result.
Pandemonia, in case you don't know is a true work of art & visual beauty!

What a year its been..from 2 full on seasons at fashion week including more than 30 shows to styling the gorgeous Lana Del Rey for various press and fashion shoots and most recently the Q Awards (where she picked up the 'Next Big Thing' award - for those of you that have not heard her music yet..check out her acclaimed 'Video Games' single which has had an astounding 5 million hits! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HO1OV5B_JDw)
But on serious note, I'd just like to apologise to all our die hard fans that have been waiting patiently for a post, only now as I sit in the gorgeous W Hotel in Seoul can I write to you all and actually have the time to reflect on what has been the busiest 6 months...
So as you all know most of September was taken up working backstage with the wonderful Sam Mcknight on shows including Vivienne Westwood, Balmain, Mugler and Fendi. I would have to say that the most incredible production had to be that of Chanel..like all other seasons, it never fails to impress and astound..yet again the Grand Palais was transformed, this time into a magical underwater world that also welcomed a performance by the amazing Florence.

Many of you have asked for the looks for this Autumn/Winter..heres a little rundown of what was seen in the Autumn/Winter 11 shows back in February which included ponytails, statement partings, power plaits and all kinds of waves -
Rough waves and natural volume gave Rodarte their gorgeously romantic 'girl-caught-in-a-windstorm' look. Easy enough to recreate come autumn weather!
Waves were bouncier at Marc by Marc Jacobs with blow-dried barrel curls given lift at the roots and lightly spritzed to give a glossy luxe look.
At Burberry hair was gently parted with undone waves pulled back loosely with teased out strands framing the face.
And for the biggest looks this season that you should most definitely have a play with...
The 60's Up-do
The 60s are having a real style moment right now. The volumised up-do has been a hot look on runways and celebs alike with various takes on the trend including modern beehives, half up-dos, and quiffed back-combing.
...The Braid
The simple plait takes strength from spring/summer, gaining plenty of punch for autumn/winter in a flurry of fishtails, braids and single statement plaits.
With Diane Kruger and Blake Lively forerunners of the mussed-up plait on the red carpet and Nicole Scherzinger nailing the fishtail for X Factor, for downtime dressing,Emma Roberts loves her simple pony-plait while Beyonce uses her braid draped over one shoulder as a cool accessory.
And finally..the statement parting
Centre or side, make a statement with your parting of choice this season whether in an up or down do. I hope I'll get to see more of you over the next few weeks leading up to Christmas..Im next in on the 18th so make sure to book your appointment and leave some extra time to pop into Press where you can find a gorgeous selection of this seasons key pieces http://pressprimrosehill.com/
Melanie really knows how to do it!
And now finally... a quick snapshot of me and my gorgeous Husband at our wedding!
Enjoy and see you all soon xx
Our new resident nail expert Jenni gives us the lowdown from her hectic week at the shows
S/S12 looks like it's broken the boundaries when it comes to nail trends, this LFW saw an array of nail looks.
The chic nude nails are still hanging in there, with tones to match every skin tone. More daring was the 'twisted french' manicures (upside down or reverse french style) or half moon manicures using brights (pinks, purples, corals) and contrasting colours as well as pretty floral colours.
And of course we saw some super cool nail art, not always as easy to recreate at home but don't fear as we'll be seeing a lot of Metallic nails as well as texture and effect polishes that are simple to do yet amazingly effective!

Spring clean pick me up and throw out
Spring is a time of transformation, a change in season, temperature and atmosphere, now is the time to think about making a few changes to your skincare routine to adjust to the change. No longer are we fighting the constant battle with central heating and harsh weather, try a lighter moisturiser, add in a refreshing toner to feed the skin and as an instant pick me up, not to mention a light exfoliation to prepare for new health spring fresh skin.
Abigail Loves
Caudalie Beauty elixir, wow! A real pick me up with amazing brightening effects.
Dr. Alkaitis Enzyme exfoliating mask, no gritty irritation just gentle exfoliation of dull skin cells ready to be removed.
Dr. Hauschka moisturising day cream, don't be fooled by its very light texture, this cream really hydrates.
Shelf Life
The shelf life of a skincare product is not infinite, best results are from the most active ingredients which will be achieved with fresh products, ones that have not been subjected to light, varying bathroom temperatures and humidity, it's a good idea to swap old products that have not been replaced since before winter or even older.

Although detoxing in January is fairly clichéd I figured that the perfect remedy to cure winter blues aside from an exotic beach holiday is a luxury, pampering spa break… thus I took myself away for a 3 day spa experience called 'Cleansing the Temple' which consisted of gorgeous treatments, a detox plan and plenty of exercise. I came back feeling brand new and ready to face the world again!
Limewood is an exceptionally luxurious and tranquil hotel set in the middle of the New Forest in Hampshire. Their spa, Herb House is only a few months old every detail is of the highest spec. The hotel and spa provides everything you need at the start of a new year or anytime you feel the need to re-boot your system.
My bedroom was heavenly with an open log fire and four-poster bed it was hard to tear myself away from the cosy surroundings. I did, however, force myself to spend a lot of time in the state of the art Techno gym working up a sweat. I got involved in a few classes such as Yoga & Box Kick Cardio and lapped up the spa facilities that include a fantastic pool, outdoor hot tub, a sauna that looks out onto the forest & a rather pleasurable Mud House room that involves applying 3 types of Austrian mud to your face & body and sitting alone in a twinkly steam room whilst the mud works wonders for your skin.
They have an extensive list of beauty treatments to indulge yourself in: I was pleased to see the NUDE range of products incorporated into treatments being a huge fan & loved the in-room Bamford treats!
The highlight was my absolute favourite treatment - a deep tissue massage performed by an excellent therapist called Evelina. It left me feeling light as a feather and worked away all stress and muscle ache!
I would highly recommend Limewood to all fans of country hotels. The Spa and facilities are fantastic, wonderful staff, delicious food and the added benefit of being situated in the middle of a forest which makes you feel instantly calm!

Regular exercise is essential. Aim for at least 3 sessions of cardio per week. I am a huge fan of Power Plate classes they really work! Mix with a bit of spinning, running and yoga or pilates for a good all rounded exercise routine.

Do I need a separate eye product
Absolutely, the skin around your eyes is more delicate, finer and sensitive with less underlying muscle and adipose tissue plumping it up, it is prone to showing the signs of aging, it's often one of the first areas that indicated we are unwell, closely connected to our internal health, mainly the kidneys.
Products for the eyes may look and feel similar to those for the rest of your face but the fundamental ingredients and strengths will be quite different, using a specific eye product will get the best targeted results for bright health eyes.
-
For dry, sensitive skin and fine lines Dr. Alkaitis eye cream, perfect for nourishing the delicate eye area, packed with organic healing herbs.
-
For that anti-aging hit try Caudalie Vinexpert lifting Serum for eyes and lips.
-
To brighten for that Christmas new year late night season Ren active radiance eye gel, a light weight gel perfect for perking up too many late nights eyes.

Milan showed us that it still has what it takes to compete with the likes of New York, London and Paris. Stand out collections were easy proof that Milan still has that edge of Italian flair and ostentation over its rather more prim and proper competitors. Drama, emotion and passion spilled out of the nation’s top designer catwalks. Our Lost in Beauty backstage spy reports on going Italiano this spring...
Splash Around!
Bright block colours and psychedelic patterns from the clothes at Pucci and Alberta Ferretti were reflected in splashes of coloured make-up. Popping pink and orange lips were out in force and blocks of colour (an emerging trend the previous week in London) coated the upper eyelids. How exciting to be getting an injection of Mediterranean colour this Summer! Make-up artists used powder and cream shades to fill the upper lid with colour or merely brushed on a subtle fleck along the eye line. Lost in Beauty loves using RMK eyeshadows to boldly push up the colour on eyes. Keep it chic with a slick of black mascara and nude lips. Try RMK in P06 or P10 as a gentle introduction to aquatic brights.
To get those tropical cocktail lips as seen at Fendi we recommend using Becca Sheer Tint Lip Colour in Tatiana (a luscious raspberry pink) and painting your lip colour on with a brush will give you that clean fresh lip line. If you don’t think you can pull of bright pink without looking like Malibu Barbie then a matt orange or scarlet is a great alternative (RMK Irresistible Lips in No.12 is a great red/orange that suits even the palest of skin types.)
‘70s Smoothe
The vibrant colours of the 70s prints were also teamed with beautiful taupey hues, barely there smoky eyes and nude lips. Keeping it fresh is the key to wearing a smoky eye in spring and summer. At Roberto Cavalli the makeup team applied camel coloured eyeshadows (Becca Creme Eyeshadows in Bronze Gold and Citrine are perfect for this!) over the socket and under the eyelid and then used a black kohl eye pencil to create a simple clean line along the bottom lashes. On this occasion a retro ‘70s look is dated in all the right ways!
Pure & Simple
In a total contrast to the majority of Milan fashion week – there were a few fashion houses that kept their make-up and clothes in a frame of simplicity. The looks at Dolce & Gabanna and Antonia Marras were beautiful and pure. The key to barely there makeup is a silky smooth base that knocks out pigmentation and leaves a youthful, even finish. Chantecaille Future Skin is an oil free foundation that when buffed into the skin gives great coverage without that heavy matt effect (perfect for Spring!) Keeping your lips bare can be a tricky look especially if you are prone to a dry, chapped pout. For a bare lip that still looks full and peachy, try Rosebud Salve, a multi-purpose balm that no make-up artist, model or beauty editor would ever be without.
Milan, te amo!

Spring/Summer 2011 looks set to be all about skin! And we’re not talking the same old glowing, tanned summer skin, we’re talking about super refined, immaculately polished summer skin. Both faces and bodies on the catwalk were creamy in texture with not even the smallest blemish or imperfection to be seen.
Models were either given the hint of a tan to smooth out skin tones (Lost In Beauty loves a golden glow from Xen Tan (Daily Self Tan £23.99 or Face Tanner Luxe £18.95) or illuminating creams like Becca Skin Perfector in Pearl, (£32), were applied all over the body so that the light reflected from the models’ shins, shoulders and chests as they floated down the runway. At Betty Jackson, Sam Bryant used the Becca Skin Perfector to add a luminous sheen to models’ cheek bones to contrast the bold abstract green paint on their eyelids.
Another Lost in Beauty favourite, Caudalie, was a backstage must-have at Eudin Choi and Hermione de Paula, where make-up artist Sandra Cooke and her team refreshed models’ tired skin with Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir £32 100ml. Plus word on the street is that the lucky front row guests each had one to take home in their goody bag!

If anything can be said about hair for SS11 it is that it has never looked so healthy! Free from winter woes, the catwalk was filled with bouncy natural waves and clean glossy updos. Odile Gilbert, Phyto hairstylist created beautiful tousled updos for Phillip Lim, twisting healthy hair around the head like rapunzel rope. At Costello Tagliapietra hairstylist Nelson Vercher was inspired by a throwback to the classic 20th Century lady but with a modern twist. Nelson created a gorgeous chignon swept to the side into a "hat bun" and here’s how he did it:
1. Spray Bumble Thickiening Spray (£20) to the root. Put hair into a side ponytail
2. Tease ponytail and pin up into a bun positioned right on top of the left ear
3. Push bun flat, making a "hat bun”
4. Create wispy fly always. Spray Bumble Holding Spray (£13.50) to finish.

Excellent news for those who have found that the neutral colour palette of autumn/winter has been getting them down in past weeks – you can look forward to gorgeous bright pops of colour in the New Year. Painted flecks of vibrant blues, greens and oranges cropped up in Betty Jackson and Carolina Herrera. Or, if you’re less confident about such vibrant colours on your face, why not inject a bit of spring into your nails with neon yellow a la Clements Robiero (We love Butter London Cheeky Chops, £10) or experiment with crazy cartoon nails from Sophy Robson at the Giles London show.

Do you secretly hanker after a bit of glitter in your life but worry about looking too gaudy? Well thankfully LFW SS11 has given us the answer. Metallics in all shapes and sizes made a huge appearance on both the London and New York runways. Burnished bronzes and warm coral golds adorned the inner corners of smoky eyes at Mark Fast giving a wet look, almost foil-like effect that lit up the model’s faces. Head make-up artist Alex Box used Illamasqua’s Liquid metal mixed with glitter pieces, but why not try RMK gold glitter shadow (ME-02) £17.00, that can be applied with a brush to the inner corners of the eye of swiped over the whole eyelid with your finger for a more extravagant look.
Or how about a Minx? The original metallic manicure (or pedicure!) Beauty goss on the grape vine tells us that the legendary nail technician Marian Newman has plans to design a new minx range in spring 2011– if this is true, we are very, very excited!
Minx Hands £35
Minx Feet £50

For that sexy, wild wind-styled hair you get after an ocean swim try using... Bumble & Bumbles Surf Spray: £17.50 OR Shu Uemura Liquid Fabric: £21.50
In the Summertime hair tends to dry out a bit, Shu Uemura do an outstanding product called Essence Absolute which is a nourishing and protective oil infused with camelia oil that helps protect the hair against dryness, frizz and UV damage whilst providing intense nutrition. £37.50
Alternatively, try Phyto Plage which has a UV filter and protects the hair from the damaging, drying effects of the sun, salt and chlorine. £12.50
Don't forget to re-hydrate your hair with a weekly treatment mask, leaving in for as long as possible for the healthiest looking head of hair.
21st July 2010
Try this pretty summer look out keeping the skin as fresh as possible, Chanticailles Just skin spf15 works wonders with a pop of Becca's creme blush or Chanticailles Aquablush on the cheeks. Strong brows are very this season so fill them in with Becca's Brow Powders, if you have thin brows then thicken them... its all about a heavy sharp brow right now! Take a metallic(not too glittery) eye shadow preferably a lighter shade such as RMKs silver pink, all the way from the lashline to the brow then lashings of black mascara, waterproof is essential for warm summer months, my favourite volume building mascara has to be RMKs Seperate curl mascara. Keep a nude lip, Becca's lip sheers in Estella and Yasmina are perfect for this look. Finish off with Becca Skin Illuminator in Opal patted onto the cheeks for the lucious dewy skin.
21st July 2010
We have finally got the message about the importance of wearing sunscreen especially during the summer months. The very nature of sunscreens mean they bind to the skins surface making them more difficult to remove, leaving a residue on the skins surface, combine this with our moisturiser and the skin can become overloaded increasing blocked pores, black heads and leaving us looking a little dull. Try a double cleanse (cleansing twice) at the end of the day using a hot cloth and the Dr. Alkaitis face cleanser finishing with cold water, some skins may benefit from a once a week gentle exfoliation to help keep the skins surface clear of sunscreen residue such as the Caudalie gentle buffing cream.

Hi Lost In Beauty followers...wow the last entry came from Milan, in the midst of Fashion Week season – can you believe that was nearly 3 months ago?! Paris Fashion Week was just as hectic but I got to work on some more amazing shows including Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Balmain and Stella McCartney.
So Summer seems to be finally here and I hope you've all tried your hands at creating the loose, sexy, undone hair that is oh so hot for this season. Here at the boutique, we are all loving the new Shu Uemura Kaze Wave mousse and Kengo Feather – both great products for achieving this look.
As for what I've been up to, well the highlight has to be the 3 days I spent in St.Tropez along with the wonderful Sam McKnight filming a short film 'Remember Now' www.youtube.com for Chanel – it was directed by the ever inspiring Karl Lagerfeld and included models: Baptiste Giabiconi, Elisa Sednaoui, Magdalena Frackowiak, Freja Beha Erichsen, Leigh Lezark and Karolina Kurkova. The film was shown at a private press launch the night before the Chanel Cruise Collection show.
As you can imagine, the show – set in the heart of St.Tropez's marina - was spectacular, with models arriving on speed boats before then walking down the 'catwalk' promenade sporting loose tousled hair and Georgia May Jagger making her catwalk debut on the back of a Harley Davidson!
Another great project that I got to work with Sam on was the Pirelli 2011 Calender, shot by Karl Lagerfeld in his Paris studio and saw the likes of Heidi Mount, Isabeli Fontana, Abbey Lee, Natasha Poly, Iris Strubegger and Lara Stone posing as greek goddesses.
Further shows and shoots I've worked on have included..
A private viewing of Matthew Williamsons' A/W 10-11 collection at his boutique on Conduit street, along with make-up artist Maria Comparetto, www.matthewwilliamson.com. We also worked on a fundraising event for Breast Cancer, which showcased a selection of Amanda Wakelys' gorgeous dresses from her A/W 10-11 collection. The event, held at the Flemings Hotel in Mayfair, raised over £20,000!
Keep an eye out for the new Paul Smith campaign which I contributed to with head stylist Matt Mulhull, this was shot by the man himself at his PS headquarters – which in itself was a feast for the eyes!
Back in my February entry, I mentioned that I had worked with the inspiring Natalia Vodianova on a short film for her Naked Heart Foundation, in which she wore creations by Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Marchese, Giles Deacon and Franck Sorbier. This hasn't been released yet but here is a preview image..
..and a few shots from the DeBeers shoot that we did to showcase the necklace that she designed, (photographer - Liz Collins, makeup artist – Miranda Joyce)
And finally, the lovely Sam Taylor-Wood - I've styled her hair recently for a few keys events including; the National Movie Awards, for which we did a loose up do with volume at the crown and gathered into a tousled chignon in the nape; and this weeks Glamour Awards, where she won the 'Inspiring Women' Award! www.youtube.com
In next months blog I'll hopefully be able to include a few shots of the fashion shoot I worked on for online Test magazine and backstage at the IT List awards where I judged the Fashionista category along with session stylists Adam Reed and Luke Hersheson. Till then, have a great month of sunshine filled days!

Hi, I am in between cities at the moment but, as we speak, the fashion pack are all relocating to Paris as the collections come into their final week.
And with Milan Fashion Week done, here is a quick summary of which shows I got to work on with the wonderful Eugene Souleiman.
At Dolce & Gabbana, it was all about the sexy fiery woman. Lips were a flaming red and the hair was loose, as if it had been a self-creation. We put hair into a loose ponytail above the nape then turned hair inwards before twisting and securing it in a loose chignon shape.
Etro, although we created a much sharper and cleaner look was also a take of the chignon.
Two further shows I worked on were Fendi and DSquared, both very different in terms of the hair and production but both with an emphasis on strong masculine shapes.
Dsquared - The look was pure Helmut Newton, super matte skin, powerful smoky eyes, lacquered red lips and slicked back hair that remained straight at the back.
And finally at Fendi, we got to create a gorgeous soft textured, rock-a-billy type look that looked simply amazing with Karl Lagerfeld's Autumn Winter collection of swing coats; soft, billowy blouses; mid-calf dirndls; and a slightly countrified, muted palette of gray, navy, beige, and mustard.
Have a good week and see you all back in London after my update of the Paris shows.
Before I leave you here is a quick moment to see what its like to be on the other side of the lens backstage
Au Revoir
25th February 2010
Hi all, so its London Fashion week done...Milan Fashion week here I come, (and a 4.30am start might I add!!!)
It's been an amazing 5 days, with the highlights being the Burberry Prorsum show and all its sheepskin, shades of green, ruffles and high collars that a girl could ever wish for not to mention the sexy undone hair that was worn tucked in and slightly 'mussed' up...
The outerwear is available to pre-order on the Burberry Prorsum website and will come in six to eight weeks...oh which jacket will you choose? Visit www.burberry.com.
Another stunning collection was seen at Matthew Williamsons' show and what a stellar front row it had... Olivia Palermo, Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevigne, Little Boots, Lily Collins, Jodie Harsh, Yasmin Le Bon, Trish Goff and Twiggy. The legendary Malcolm Edwards was keying the hair team, my first ever show with him and what a pleasure it was..the hair was super dry in texture and twisted to create tied knots..very cool.
Other highlights included working with the lovely Sam Mcknight on Nicole Farhi, (we swept hair up into a simple but effective, softly-shaped ponytail) and James Pecis on several shows including...
..Felder Felder - The hair took its inspiration from the designers themselves, with soft waves that were pinned into curls and let down in the line-up for rock and roll texture.
...Meadhamkirchoff - The hair was 'swampy' with angular ends..we wrapped the lengths around these cardboard cut-outs for a Z-shape instead of the classic S-shape created by tongs.
And here I am working away, photographed by Vogues beauty editor Jessica Hogan,
..Finally, the dynamic duo that are Peter Pilotto, we created a two-texture tumbleweed of hair, a very earthy and organic look that looked just amazing on the runway.
Will be back in touch to give you the low down on the Milan shows..
Ciao cia x

See you all soon. Anna x

"Abigail has an amazing lightness of touch. I've had manual lymphatic drainage before but with Abigail it was a much gentler and more relaxing experience, so much so that I kept drifting in and out of sleep. After an hour of being smoothed with various fragrant essential oils and organic concoctions, my previously grey, congested skin was suffused with an ethereal glow. Easily the best facial I've ever had."

This time of year can be hard wearing on our complexions, extremes of cold and warmth in this country and especially for those enjoying their skiing breaks, with the added sun exposure the skin on our face can be exposed to some fairly harsh conditions. Now is as good a time as ever to start having regular face treatments, to help bring you skin back to it's natural radiance.

To impress the man of your dreams this Valentine’s Day go understated with that luscious pop of colour on the lips. Keep the eyes looking Angelic but defined so you don’t look like you have tried to hard. Effortlessly Chic is the key to bagging that boy!
Eyes… keep them fresh and bright…
Chanticaille’s Sesame, Shell and Pearle are good eyeshadow shades.
RMK Black eyeliner pencil… underneath the lashline to give subtle definition.
Curl lashes then add a couple of coats of mascara. I love either Chanticaille’s mascara for a finer lash effect or RMK’s separate curl mascara for slightly fuller lashes!
Cheeks… keep soft and dewy and only on the apple of the cheek for that youthful glow. Becca cream blushers are perfect for this look in colours such as Rosebud, Tuberose, Wild Orchid and Hyacinth.
And for those kissable lips… Reds are the only way to seduce him…
Chanticaille lipsticks in Cassia, Cerise, Poppy and for a slightly softer Lip sheer in Coraline.
If your are not daring enough to wear actual lipstick go for a gloss. Becca do two gorgeous red glosses in Cherry Bomb and Fuchsia Crush.

Q. My skin is so dry what should I use?
A. To help combat the drying effects of the central heating and winter days I recommend upping your moisturiser, try using a really nourishing moisturiser such as the Dr. Alkaitis night cream, even though it is called a night product it can be especially helpful during the day during these harsher months.
You can really smell the herbs in this cream, packed full of natural vitamin A, B, C and E with marigold and rose blossom, horsetail a natural source of silica (one of natures youthful building blocks), echinacea root to protect against environmental damage and chamomile to calm.
How to use:- after cleansing and applying a treatment toner, apply two pumps to the back of your hand and apply all over the face and neck with your fingers.
17th Decemeber 2009
Come in to Lost in Beauty this christmas or NYE to have your eyelashes applied and we can teach you how to do them yourself next time! For a subtle approach just a few individual lashes on the corner of each eye, for something more try the strips which come in a range of different sizes, some with cute diamantes or glitter… perfect for party season! Want to stand out from the crowd, and become the most glamorous bird in town, well go for full on feather lashes, see pic…
Eyelash Application £8
Fake Eyelashes start from £8

Now is the season to add that extra bit of sparkle to your smokey eyes… BECCA Jewel Dusts are the perfect touch, The range has 15 colours including deep purples, chocolate browns, sky blues, frosty white, turquoise and peacock greens. To create this look seen on the Prada Autumn/Winter 09 show use RMK’s shiny purple red eye shadow with BECCA jewel dust in ‘Nissa’ on top, making sure the edges are blended well. A great brush for softening those edges is Chanticailles Eye Definer brush!
Lost in Beauty is also now carrying Models Own which has a wide range of glitter pots and glitter liquid eye liners… silver, gold, grey, lilac and pink… and guess what, they are only £5!!!

From time to time we all may suffer from puffy eyes to varying degrees, it could be a temporary glich or a longer term problem, there are so many things that could be contributing to your puffy peepers and a few affective, natural ways of helping reduce the swelling.
It could simply be that life is out of balance and sleep is just not happening, emotional upset, or even the changing season. An allergy to chemicals in our skincare products or makeup, hormone imbalances, thyroid imbalances, urinary tract and sinus infections, medication, menopause, diet, there are so many things that may be the root cause.
So what can we do to help, try cutting down on caffeine and salt intake, raise your pillow at night to allow fluids to drain, cooling the area, try putting two teaspoons in the freezer, cover them in a thin layer of tissue then hold them on the eye area for a few minutes, cooled slices of cucumber or damp teabags, green or white tea are the best.
Most importantly avoid any eye products at night time, they will only overload the delicate eye area, and remember to change your mascara every 3 months.

Being a bit of a country, family girl my blog is rarely glamorous, and this is no exception, I did something this weekend that will revolutionise my weekends with the children but a really hard to swallow reality check, confirming I am officially middle aged, I joined The National Trust.
Now I thought this was something very un-cool, but having read about what they do across the country, I have to admit I'm really quite exited about the amazing country homes, manor houses and gardens we can nose around for free, from central London to the Cornish cost. We visited our first this weekend Hidcote Gardens in the heart of the Cotswolds, a really beautiful afternoon, the air was crisp, the sun was out and the children had an amazing time what more can you ask from an Autumn afternoon, well tea and cake of course.
Introduction
14th November 2009
Hi Lost In Beauty bloggers and welcome to my first ever blog!
Well the start of autumn has certainly been a manic one! Not long after coming back from doing the Spring/Summer 10 shows with Sam McKnight and the ever inspiring Eugene Souleiman in London, Milan and Paris, I was back in the salon attending to the tresses of many a client that have been in the need of a new look! Must be something in the air or maybe just a way to mark the start of Winter. The shows were hectic as always but wow what an amazing 3 weeks of fashion, hair, makeup, nails and more fashion, hair, makeup and nails! I think I clocked up a total of 30 shows including Balmain, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood as well as a week of internal sales shows at the house of Chanel on the exclusive Rue Cambon.
Vivienne Westwood
It was great to come home and even better to get my hands on a copy of this months Vogue (November issue) which I am proud to say..I'm in! My Vogue feature debut! Of course the picture could have done with a bit more re-touching ;-) but that aside I was just so chuffed to be a part of it and get the chance to promote our gorgeous Lost In Beauty..the home of all that is Uber Pampering.
Balmain
So, everyone's been asking me 'Whats the look for this season?' Well.. it's all about TEXTURE..think Pamela des Barres, Marianne Faithful and you get an idea of what this look is about. Back in February at the Autumn/Winter 09 Ready-to-Wear shows, we were creating this look for not only Balmain – a label that has heavily influenced the clothes we can now see in the likes of TopShop, H&M and Zara, but also Chanel and DSquared.
DSquared
It's a really simple look to achieve and not only involves lots of product...wait for it...but abandoning your hairbrush! So in simplest terms, all you need to do is roughly blowdry your hair with your fingers, making sure to firstly apply a product thats going to help to 'grunge' up the hair – I love LOVE LOVE the new Shu Uemura styling range and the Mineral Spray is fab for this look. So dry it off completely and then it's about tweaking the texture to get the finished look, if hair is straight, use heated tongs to twist the hair and this will give you random kinks and twists. If hair is too curly, use the straightners in a tapping motion to loosen the wave but concentrate the heat on the ends. Then finish off with a short blast of cold air from the hairdryer, a light mist of hairspray and away you go!
Burberry AW 09
If you fancy popping in for some styling tips or even booking an appointment to learn how to achieve this look or even get a re-style in time for the Christmas parties, just give the girls a call and they can book you in with me, I'm usually there on either a Friday or Saturday.
See you soon. Anna x

To create this soft rock chick look as seen on the Zac Posen Fall 09 catwalk, you need to begin by smoothing out the skin with Chanticaille Future skin and total concealer under the eye, adding a light dusting of Chanticaille ‘Light’ Loose powder on the T zone.
Contour some Chanticaille ‘wind’ blusher under the cheekbones. On the eyes dust Becca ‘chantilly’ eye shadow all over with RMK black eye pencil inside the eye both top and bottom as well as smudged on top and underneath lashline. You can always add a little Chanticaille ‘Obsedian’ eye shadow for that extra smudged effect!
For fuller natural looking lashes apply Ardell’s individual lashes using Duo eyelash glue to make sure they stay put! Finish with a coat of Becca’s black mascara. Groom the brows with a Becca brow powder then finish this look off by dabbing Chanticaille ‘Casseopeia’ lip sheer on the lips using fingertip for that soft, sexy, smudged effect.

London Fashion Week
5th October 2009
Last week saw the busiest time of the year for me...good old London Fashion Week! It was a manic time, heading 10 shows in total. The week kicked off with Mark Fast where the look was a nude matte nail (a key trend for A/W this year...check out our new range of matte polishes launching at Lost In Beauty, KO ). You may have seen this show in the press due to the designer's controversial use of plus size models. The stylist then walked out of the job last minute...DRAMA! I think the girls looked great and it's refreshing to see a designer have the courage to use bigger girls on shows. Other looks included a metallic silver foiled nail at Felder Felder and clean and buffed at B-Store. Tuesday saw us do 4 shows in one day which was tough, and saw me flitting between venues, narrowly missing an appearance from Anna Wintour at Erdem...damn! Other shows included Josh Goot, Holly Fulton and Michael Vanderham.
By Wednesday it was all over for another 6 months...phew!
So Friday saw me back in the salon, catching up with clients and going through my new deluxe manicure and pedicure treatments launching next week. If you want a total pamper experience then these are definitely for you. The Hollywood Hands includes exfoliation and paraffin wax and the Pin Up Pedicure a callus treatment, moisture mask and full on massage!! Hope to see you there to try it out.
So now it's Tuesday and I'm back in the studio shooting for Hobbs S/S 2010 with photographer Josh Olins. We have the great model Irina Lazaraneu formally of the Baby Shambles! Today feels like the first day back at school after the 6 week hols for some reason! Everyone is really buzzing and it's days like today that remind me why I do the job I do!

The last few weeks have been overtaken by London Fashion Week. I was invited to create a mini apothecary at Somerset House in the Lingerie Boudoir Room. It was amazing being involved in the 25th year anniversary of LFW; I was the only cosmetic beauty brand there.
I ran a perfume competition to find out the best 'nose' at LFW. I had 95 entries and on September 29th my panel of judges of Lisa Armstrong, Katie Bain and Bev Malik will decide who the winner is.
Being at LFW has certainly given me a fresh interest in fashion, I realised that fashion is becoming more about individual style rather than following trends.
Now I'm busy preparing for Christmas... bringing you the most gorgeous Christmas gift ideas.

Linseed is know to help digestion, calming IBS, balance hormones, provides omega-3, anti-inflammatory, and has anti-yeast property an all round health and beauty bonus.
To experience the full benefits of linseed it should be taken on a regular basis and drinking its tea is perfect for this. (If using in food it needs to be crushed first)

Introduction
20th July 2009
Hi guys and welcome to the first entry of our new Lost In Beauty Blog!! I'm really excited about keeping you all up to date with the weird and wonderful word of Jenny Nails (as everyone calls me...thinking of changing my name by deed poll!)
To kick off I thought I'd give you all a quick biog of myself to set the scene!
I learnt to do nails 8 years ago in Birmingham, whilst also doing A-levels in the Performance Arts. I was a terrible nail biter when I was growing up, until I discovered the world of nail extensions! This sparked my obsession with all things nails until I decided to learn the trade myself. After leaving college I took a gap year to decide where I wanted to go next. Whilst working full time as a nail technician in a beauty salon, I read about session techs such as Leighton Denny and Andrea Fulerton, and fantasised about a life in the fashion biz! In true Jenny style I decided to turn my fantasy into reality. I quickly secured myself a place at London College Of Fashion to study Specialist Make-Up design for the Fasion Industry.
So that was it...watch out London, here I come.
That was 6 years ago and since then I have gradually built up my career as a full time nail technician. I split my time between fashion work, private clients and Lost In Beauty. I am represented by fashion agency CLM and my celebrity clients include Lily Allen, Beth Ditto and Trudie Styler. Other clients include Nivea, Dove, Kurt Geiger, Hobbs, Next, Virgin, John Lewis, Westfield, Jenny Packham and Superdrug. Editorials my work has been featured in include Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Elle to name but a few.
